Thank you for your interest in the Mineola Volunteer Ambulance Corps!


The Mineola Volunteer Ambulance Corps (MVAC) provides 24 hours a day, 7 days a week Advanced Life Support (ALS) service to the Villages of Mineola, Garden City and the surrounding communities. MVAC consists of 1 headquarters, 3 ALS ambulances, 1 ALS Fly Car, 3 Fast Response Chiefs Cars, and over 75 volunteer members.

As a member of MVAC, you will be required to have a medical certification. You must either be a Certified First Responder (CFR), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-B), Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-CC), or a Paramedic (EMT-P). If you do not have a certification, you can still join MVAC however you will be required to complete a CFR or EMT class. We sponsor all non-certified members for either a Certified First Responder (CFR) or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-B) class. While you take your class you will not be required to make a percentage of calls. To be a member of "MVAC" you must live within a reasonable distance from the MVAC boundaries, and in Nassau County.

MVAC also has many social functions for its members each year. Some of these events include an annual picnic, and Christmas party.
